Couples Therapy
Pflugerville, TX or Virtually
In technical terms, I utilize Emotionally Focused and Relational Life Therapies in couples work. There is no place for objective reality in a relationship; there are only two unique experiences. I will ask about your beliefs, worries, experiences in previous relationships, etc. and we can determine how they have contributed to the current dynamic with your partner. By observing and labeling that dynamic together, we can determine where the disconnect is occurring, how your needs can be met, and make adjustments. Some topics that I have experience working with are loss of trust, lack of connection, parenting concerns, financial problems, arguing/contention, and pornography/sex.
Individual Therapy
Pflugerville, TX or Virtual
When working with individuals, I still implement a collaborative, relational approach since we are complex people, not a (problem + solution = peace) formula. The circumstances that life throws at us (or we toss at ourselves) can be too much to sort out on our own at times. I'm a great brain outside of your own to point out things that you may not see on your own. Some concerns that I work with are self-esteem, depression/suicidal thoughts, grief/loss, and anxiety.

Family Therapy
Pflugerville, TX
Let's be real; we typically don't pick the people we call our family. Different personalities, communication styles, and interests are enough to make these relationships tense. Then we throw in work, finances, illness, or loss (to name a few), and it's hard to communicate effectively, let alone connect meaningfully. We work with parents with "stubborn" children, children with "stubborn" parents, siblings after a loss, a family going through a life transition, or adult children working through resentment (to name a few more).
Couples Therapy Intensive
Pflugerville, TX
A Couples Therapy Intensive is a focused, transformative experience designed to help couples break destructive patterns, rebuild trust, and create a deeper emotional connection. Using the principles of Relational Life Therapy, the intensive combines honest dialogue, practical relationship tools, and guided interventions to help partners move from blame and disconnection toward accountability, intimacy, and mutual respect. In an extended-format setting (six hours), couples gain the time and support needed to make meaningful progress more quickly than traditional weekly therapy.
